In March 2013, the town saw the first of our new weekly markets (every Wednesday) to compliment the daily indoor market.
Each year they host special markets; in June a Vintage market took place.
On 30th November, the annual Dickensian market is held, featuring a wide variety of stalls and Dickensian characters complete with authentic costume.
500 years ago, Trowbridge was a very rich town. The town was famous for the cloth weaved here and was exported to Europe and London.
The Polebarn was first built as a family home by John Clark a wealthy mill owner.
